Ingredients Required

  • 3 tbsps of ghee
  • 1 tsp of cumin seeds
  • Curry leaves (optional)
  • Medium potatoes
  • 3 tbsp of roasted Peanut
  • 2 fresh green chillies
  • 1 cup of barnyard millet (Sama rice)
  • 2.5 to 3 cups of water
  • Sendha namak (rock salt) to taste
  • 4-5 makhanas

Recipe

  • Heat ghee in a kadai.
  • Add cumin seeds, green chillies, curry leaves and potatoes and saute it till the potatoes are mushy.
  • Now add washed barnyard millet (sama rice), sendha namak(rock salt) as per your taste.
  • Add water and mix everything well.
  • Now cover it with the lid and cook on a low-medium heat.
  • Once it is properly cooked, remove the lid.
  • Add makhana and peanuts sauteed in ghee.
  • Serve it on a plate.
  • Enjoy!
